Perceptions of racism harming Obama

It's standard left-wing dogma that America is a deeply racist country. Interestingly, such views are reducing Obama's support among Democrats.

If you want a Democrat to win the presidency but believe that most Americans who are not Democrats would never vote for a black candidate you will probably support Hillary over Obama even if you think that Obama is the better candidate. This is why one black Democratic official in Alabama is supporting Hillary. And indeed this view of American racism might be the reason why Obama is doing relatively poorly among blacks. In contrast, Jesse Jackson might have done so well with black voters when he ran for the Democratic presidential nomination because no one expected him to win the nomination and so no one feared supporting him would cost the Democrats the presidency.

So here we have another example of left-wing ideology harming blacks.
