Vitamin D and Burqas

I wrote a little while back about how there might be massive anti-cancer benefits from vitamin D. Humans main source of vitamin D is the sun.

ElectEcon wonders if "Burqa wearers suffer from a Vitamin D deficiency?" If so it will show up in cancer rates.

In many Western European countries there are political disputes about whether Muslim women should wear Burqas. The argument against them is that they are socially isolating and that Muslim women are sometimes forced by men to wear them so laws against Burqas help Muslim women. Of course, politicians opposed to Burqas are accused of Islamophobia. If, however, there are significant health costs to wearing Burqas then it will be much easier for governments to ban them.
