Putting A Negative Spin On Islam

A Tufts university student newspaper published an ad that said some negative, but truthful things about Islam such as quoting parts of the Koran that support violence against non-believers. Tufts University is investigating the paper for creating a "hostile environment."

The point of college multiculturalism is to protect the sensitivities of minority groups. For multiculturalists, therefore, the fact that what the paper said was true, makes what the paper said far more offensive. After all, the most hurtful insults are those that have a strong basis in fact.
