Summer movies underperform

I suspect movies on average will be making less and less at the box office. The price/quality ratio of televisions and sound systems keeps improving. People, therefore, have less and less reason to go to movie theaters. The only thing that will save box office revenues is some new viewing technology, such as 3D movies, that is available at the theater but not in most homes.
