Leftists often praise Cuba's health care system. But Castro seems to lack faith in his nation's doctors. According to Slate, Castro brought in Spanish doctors to treat him for his current illnesses.

There may be a lot of statistics showing how great the Cuban medical system is. But statistics can be faked, especially by governments. Castro's desire to import doctors for his personal care, therefore, tell us more about Cuba's health care system than all the Cuban government provided statistics do.
