Ron Paul and the Working Group on Financial Markets

During the Jan 24 Republican debate Ron Paul asked McCain about whether the "Working Group on Financial Markets" should be abolished. (Here is the relevant part of the debate on Youtube.)

I had never heard of this group. Half Sigma speculates that the question relates to weird conspiracy theories.
