Obama's Optimal Strategy

The Clintons have been playing nasty with Obama, and this is upsetting black voters. The Clintons are no doubt calculating that they can win the primary without many black votes and then get black voters to support them in the general election.

So what Obama should do is hint (or have his surrogates hint) that if the Clintons continue to attack Obama then Obama might not endorse Hillary if she wins the Democratic nomination. Since Hillary couldn't afford to lose the black vote in a general election, she would be forced to stop attacking Obama if she believed that such attacks would cost her a significant number of black votes in a general election.
