My Stimulus Plan

The President and Congress are trying to agree on a stimulus package to stop a possible recession. Economist Kevin Hassett said "If you want to do a stimulus package, it should juice up activity this year and then go away."

Here is my idea. Land use restrictions make it extremely costly and time consuming for developers to build anything. For the next year only property owners should be allowed to build anything they want on their own land. Such an exemption would cause a massive one-year increase in construction that would likely stop any recession.
