Recursive multiculturalism
From the Chicago Boyz "If multiculturalists are correct that the non-Western cultures are of greater moral stature than the oppressive West, then why did none of the non-Western cultures ever practice multiculturalism ?"
Answer: Consider a set of beliefs called X that has two properties:
(1) Believers in X think that all other cultures are superior to their own,
(2) X is so immoral that cultures that believe in it are inferior to cultures that don't.
Tautologically, if the cultural elite of one society subscribes to X then X must be true for that society.
I have thus established that multiculturalism can be made intellectually consistent, and I can think of no other way of having this consistency absent making assumption (2).
