Inheritance taxes
Bluematter writes that an inheritance tax increases the incentives of the children of the rich to work. As Bluematter say "Expecting to receive a huge inheritance surely can’t be good for your entrepreneurial zeal."
I not sure. High inheritance taxes will cause the rich to spend more money while they are still alive. Much of this money will be spend on their children. So the consequence of a high inheritance tax may be that the kids of the rich get lots of money when they are young as opposed to middle age. I suspect that getting lots of money when you are young has a worse effect on entrepreneurial zeal than getting this money when you are 50 or so.
