Hillary Clinton, Larry Craig and gay politicians

I wonder if the Larry Craig scandal will end up hurting Hillary Clinton. There have been persistent rumors about Hillary Clinton being a lesbian. Ordinarily, the mainstream media wouldn't dare pursue such rumors, and anyone else who suggested that Hillary might be a lesbian would be accused of homophobia. But now that Senator Larry Craig has been mocked and forced out of office for being gay it will be harder for Democrats to argue that its unfair to investigate whether Hillary has ever engaged in lesbian behavior.

I personally don't think that whether Hillary has engaged in such behavior should be relevant to whether she should be president (and I'm not just writing this to protect my job). But if she is outed as a lesbian it would almost certainly destroy her chances of being president.
