Scanning the Brain for Racism

From the Dilbert Blog: "Scientists can already monitor the brain and identify attraction and repulsion to various stimuli. Suppose an employer of the future decided to scan job applicants for unacceptable forms of hatred. They could put the sensors on your head, then show you pictures of various types of people, and measure your responses. In other words, science can already identify thought crimes."

Prediction 1- Within 12 years many colleges will either require applicants to submit to such racism brain scans or will give admission preferences to applicants who take them and prove they are relatively free of racism.

Prediction 2 - Defendants in discrimination lawsuits will be required to submit to such scans. As a result, large companies will feel pressure to only hire managers who can "pass" the scans.

Prediction 3- Members of some ethnic /racial/religious groups will on average do horribly on such scans. These groups will argue using these scans to allocate admission spots or jobs constitutes unconstitutional discrimination.
