Everyone is Guilty

During a Podcast Instapundit made the point that since there are so many criminal laws, if a prosecutor really wants to convict you of something he probably can. I propose an experiment. The U.S. Department of Justice should randomly pick 1,000 citizens and fully investigate them. The Justice Department should then determine how many have violated some law that could cause them to go to prison. My guess is that between tax, environmental, copyright and drug laws over 60% of Americans have committed an imprisonable offense.
